Management: Xapiens innovation comes from Dr.
Luis Sanchez, its Chief
Technology Officer.Dr. Sanchez entered the IP world back
in the late 80s as part of the technical team NEARNet and original member of
BBN Planet. Dr. Sanchez was part of the architecture team that designed BBN
Planet's (now Genuity) first Managed Firewall and VPN Service offering. Dr.
Sanchez was also part of the architecture team for Continental Cablevision's
first IP over cable network (now MediaOne part of @home). He serves as chair of
the IP Security Policy Working Group of the Internet Engineering Task Force
(IETF), the group in charge of standardizing protocols for the Internet. Dr.
Sanchez is credited with several Internet protocols and standards. Before founding
Xapiens, Dr. Sanchez was Director of Security and Policy Architecture of
Megisto Systems a Germantown, MD based start-up company developing purposed
built GGSN technology for 3rd Generation Wireless Systems. He holds a Bachelor
Degree form the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, Master Degree in EE from
Boston University and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.

The Security Operations Center
(SOC) is the principal monitoring group for all Xapiens services. It performs
proactive operations support and troubleshooting of the customer's network

facility in Guaynabo, PR and is backed up by our mirror, fail-safe operations
center in another site in Puerto Rico.Xapiens SOC is the only such center in full 365/24/7 operation in Puerto
Rico and the Caribbean since 2002.

satisfaction. Our service level agreement (SLA) for all our Managed Security
Services stipulates a mean response time of 15 minutes for security incidents.
Firewall policy changes are guaranteed within 24 hours of customer requests.
Xapiens offers Managed Security Services customers the option of field services
with guaranteed delivery within four hours. If we fail to meet an SLA on a
particular day, the customer isn't required to pay for services that day, twice
in a month and the service is on us for the entire month.
